Futuristic Displays: You can text and see where you’re going.

TDK presented two futuristic OLED displays that they have in the works.

The first a see-through display demoed on cellphones. The user is able to see the on screen information but someone on the opposite side only sees transparent glass. This could be applied to glasses enriching the experience of augmented reality programs. (check out the scouter)

The other was a thin and flexible film display. This was displayed in really cool wrist bands, playing video graphics. Sony has already presented a similar product but TDK plans to start production of these next year.

I’m really looking forward to the type of products that will be made using these. The possibilities are astounding.

What $9000? There’s no way that could be right.
