Help the Earthquake Victims

18 March 2011 No Comment

It’s been a week since the devastating magnitude 9.0 earthquake and tsunami hit the Tohoku region of Japan. And while life here in Tokyo has almost returned to a state of normalcy, there is unimaginable suffering being faced by people in the tsunami affected zones.

At the time of writing this, the official death toll is 6,911 people with 10,316 people missing. There are also countless survivors who have been displaced by the disaster. They currently have to endure freezing temperatures and hunger due to limited supplies.

This is just a quick note to let you know you can help by donating to the Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Tsunami relief effort here.

If you own a website or a blog you can add a donation link to let your readers know they can help out. Like this button via FridayJams.

You can also get some cool t-shirts with all the money from sales going to charity to help out with the relief.
